Mission Statement
De La Salle College, Malvern aspires to provide an environment :
- in which the person of Jesus Christ is central to the life of the College. Like him, the members of the College community are encouraged to remain true to God as Leader and to their Lasallian tradition: sources of strength and inspiration.
- which actively promotes and celebrates all relevant aspects of the Catholic tradition and assists its integration into everyday life.
- which is committed to the principles of Catholic social justice and actively supports these principles through its teaching program and internal structures.
- which actively encourages all members to strive to achieve personal excellence through a challenging, comprehensive curriculum and a variety of teaching styles. The curriculum aims to address the students' need for personal growth, to arrive at an appreciation of their culture, to address the expectations of the world of work and the challenges of a rapidly changing society.
- which encourages its members to contribute to the richness of College life, to learn to recognise and value their own self-worth, their particular talents and to contribute to the well-being of others.
- which establishes a climate in which students are encouraged to strive for increasing levels of self-discipline and responsibility and where students, staff and parents experience cooperation and mutual support.
