De La Salle College Malvern
Guiding Principles
- The Lasallian spirit should be present in everything we do. We should
keep in mind our special identity at all times: awareness of God, brothers/sisters
to one another, Jesus present in us and service to the poor.
- We should live our lives following the example Jesus set. In everything
we do, we should practise fairness, prayer and service to each other.
- All of our community, students, teachers and parents alike, should
have respect for each other so that our school is a satisfying place
in which to work.
- Everybody should try to create a cooperative atmosphere at our school
where good learning can occur.
- Each person should be allowed to be different. A persons special
talents should be encouraged and valued, so that they might advance
us all. We should work together, share, and never tease each other.
- Everyone has a right to feel safe. No one should have to fear being
bullied or teased. No one should be afraid of taking a risk, being different,
or speaking his/her mind.
- We should encourage ourselves and others to seek success in our/their
talents. There needs to be a broad range of subjects and extra activities
so that everyone has the opportunity to achieve.
- We should care for one another, so that when we have a problem, we
should feel confident enough to share it with a trusted friend.
- We must all forgive and forget. Everyone deserves a second
chance.
- At our school, people should learn from both success and failure -
this allows for personal growth.
