Kinnoull Campus

About 600 students in Years 10-12 occupy a relatively small area of land named Kinnoull Campus adjacent to Malvern Oval and Northbrook House. The Campus was purchased in 1955, and was initially a junior Campus until it became the senior Campus in 1984.

Kinnoull offers students in Years 10-12 many different pathways and subjects to reach their academic and employment goals. Over thirty different VCE subjects, five VET subjects, and Senior and Intermediate VCAL cater for all needs and aspirations of our students. It is unusual to find any year 11 or 12 students undertaking the same combination of subjects.

Over the years, about 60% of our students have gone on to university, about 30% to TAFE and the other 10% to apprenticeships, traineeships, travel and other paths. These figures change year by year with employment opportunities, university fees and perceived workplace needs all strongly influencing students’ choice of courses and pathways.

All Kinnoull students undertake a program in Religious Education each year. An integral part of the Religious Education program is the Retreat or Reflection Day. Opportunities for service are available through the Lasallian Youth Leaders Program and the St Vincent de Paul Group.

At the heart of every Lasallian School is the establishment of relationships between teacher and students. On a senior campus such as Kinnoull, the establishment of relationships is made easier due to the increasing maturity of the young men and the pastoral approach taken by teachers and Coordinators.

Mission Action Day, the Football Lightning Premiership, the Year 12 Formal, the Blue and Gold Ball, Rock Eisteddfod, the Graduation Mass and Valedictory Dinner and the Farewell Assembly are the events many students see as being highlights of the school year. ACC (Associated Catholic Colleges) sport is an integral part of the Campus calendar and this enables students to become involved in a great variety of sports.
