MAD Day
Mission Action Day is the day when the entire De La Salle community come together to raise money for those less fortunate than themselves in Lasallian Mission works throughout Australia and overseas.  In recent times approximately $60,000 has been raised each year.

Lasallian Youth Leaders
The Lasallian Youth Leaders program provides an opportunity for senior students to serve the community with a particular focus on the junior classes. After undertaking training sessions during Term 1, pairs of young men help to facilitate the year 7 Anti-Bullying days in Term 2. Under the leadership of the Lasallian Youth Ministry, the Lasallian Youth Leaders run Reflection Days for each of the Primary classes in term 3.

St Vincent de Paul Group
The College’s St Vincent de Paul group has been operating on the Kinnoull campus for about fifteen years. Students have been encouraged to lead and make decisions on an agenda for the year under the guidance of a staff liaison member. Over the past six years, a custom has started of appointing two of the College leaders to the group as their special focus for the year.

A typical program of activities for the year includes fundraising, consciousness raising, collection of food items, volunteering for the Collingwood Soup Van on a Sunday night and meeting weekly.

In its fundraising, the group has supported a range of charities each year and contributed about $2,000 on average to bodies such as St Vincent de Paul, Malvern Emergency Food Collection, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Cystic Fibrosis, Lasallian Missions and other Relief Funds.

In May members are invited to attend the annual student conference which links their efforts and motivation with similar conferences across Victoria. Members are also invited to the annual Vinnies Ball which is held in Toorak.

Members are encouraged to continue their voluntary work during holidays and when they leave De La Salle.
