“To touch the hearts of the young and to inspire them with the Christian spirit is the greatest miracle you can perform, and it is the one God asks of you; it is the purpose of your work with the young”.
So spoke our founder St John Baptist De La Salle – and patron saint of all educators – to his Brothers on the vital importance that the College places on its mission to encourage its students to seek a relationship with Christ as a central element of their maturing towards manhood.
As a College community we stand firmly within a Christian interpretation of life and faith. However, we live in a world of mass media that has little regard for the Christian message and so challenges our educators to seek creative ways of securing our students’ interest in these matters of faith. Our students are challenged to think about and explore their Christian understanding and commitment through liturgies, meditation and prayer experiences.
