De La Salle students do study for either their VCE or VCAL in years 11 and 12.
Those studying for the VCAL can choose to do an Australian School Based Apprenticeship (ASBA).
VCAL students at De La Salle choose VET subjects or the Australian School Based Apprenticeship option plus units from the four compulsory strands of VCAL

Australian School Based Apprenticeships allow students over 15 years of age to work as paid part-time apprentices or trainees while at school. ASBAs enable young people gain a vocational qualification and genuine workplace experience while also completing their school studies.
